Attorney Marie Drake

Marie’s background is as diverse as her legal expertise. She grew up in Crested Butte, Colorado, while also spending part of her childhood in Japan and the Philippines. She studied at Pacific University in Oregon, where she double-majored in Philosophy and French, earning the Distinguished Senior in Humanities award. During her junior year, she lived in Paris, France for 14 months, further enriching her global perspective. After college, she moved to New York City to work as a paralegal and attend Fordham University School of Law.

A graduate of the Trial Lawyers College, Marie has an extensive legal background, and is highly experienced in divorce cases handled by Marie Drake She has litigated cases involving all aspects of family law, property insurance disputes, and real estate disputes, as well as representing adoptive parents in special needs and step-parent adoptions.

Marie remains active in the legal community. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a former Board of Trustees member of the First Judicial Bar Association (2019-2021), and a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association, and Colorado Women’s Bar Association. From 2012 to 2014, she served as president of the Rhone Brackett Inn of Court and continues her involvement in this mentoring organization.

Beyond her legal work at The Drake Law Firm, PC, Marie is an avid hiker and skier, a passionate wildlife and landscape photographer, and a writer of creative nonfiction.
